I recently came across a story of a Public Library in Minneappolis, USA that provided a wooden peg tree for hats and gloves.
The hats, gloves and scarfs on the tree are donated hand knits and can be freely taken by the Library users.
This is a perfect solution for both knitters who love to make things and locals facing a chilly winter ahead.
Are you a knitter that just can't stop knitting ...even though your family and friends no longer need your crafty wares? Maybe next winter you could ask your local community centre or library to make a Knitting Tree for knitters.
