Beanies for Brain Cancer Awareness

What a gorgeous woman Carrie Bickmore is.

From reading the news on breakfast radio, to co-hosting a popular evening news program. Carrie Bickmore has excelled in her professional life, whilst struggling with personal loss and heartache. Including the death of her husband and father to her son from Brain Cancer.

Last night upon winning the highest award in her industry, a Gold Logie, Carrie took the opportunity to speak about Brain Cancer. The low profile yet surprisingly common Cancer affects thousands of people each year, shockingly it kills more people under 40 than any other cancer.

In order to raise awareness of this devastating Cancer, Carrie has requested people wear a beanie. (Beanies are often worn by those who have had brain surgery to cover scars)

I love Beanies and encourage people to knit them and wear them. So today seemed exceptionally appropriate for me to join in raising awareness and donating to help support and eventually cure those suffering so terribly.

Join us in raising awareness, take a selfie, or photo of you and your friends - post it on social media using the hashtag #beaniesforbraincancer.
