Winter Beanie Fundraising

No one likes to be cold.

No one likes to be sick.

Imagine being really sick and knowing that medical treatment was not offering any cure.

For those with Motor Neurone Disease and many Brain Cancers that is the fate of those who are suffering.

Both Big Freeze and Carrie Bickmores Beanies 4 Brain Cancer are selling beanies to raise funds this winter and I would like to throw the What Jane Knits hats in the ring as well.

If you purchase a Beanie kit from our website or Etsy store in June or July 2017, I will make a $5 donation per unit, shared between these two causes.

This way you can still have your knitting project and make a contribution to help those in need.

WORLD WIDE KNIT IN PUBLIC DAY

Hey Knitters!

It's back ... our annual day to celebrate knitting by getting out in public showing your local community what you do!

In the last two years we have gathered at Arbory Bar on the banks of the Yarra. This year I've arranged to meet up at Prahran Market. We will be opposite the Flawless Flower stand inside the market area.

You are all invited to join us.  It should be a fun few hours, knitting and chatting. I would love to meet as many Melbourne knitters as possible.

There is plenty of food and drink available at the market so come along for lunch on Saturday 10th June between 12 and 2pm.

BYO knitting or other yarn crafty thing you are doing.

YARN - Malvern Library Knitting Group

Hi Knitters and Wannabe Knitters

It's back!

Tuesday 6 June will be the first Knitting Group meet up for 2017.

This year I have a few new projects in store for those novice knitters. So if you mastered the moss stitch pom-pom book mark last year you might like to try something new.

Create these knitted rosettes to make brooches or decorate scarves.

Maybe take it up a notch and make your very own Bow scarf.

This winter learn to knit and have fun.

We will have some limited stocks of yarn and needles, but please feel free to bring your own yarn and needles.

Experienced knitters are more than welcome to share their knowledge and join the group.

Free classes are held at Malvern Library - High Street Malvern at 6.30pm every second Tuesday starting 6th June.
